Use of Ashwagandha dates back three to four thousand where mention of it has been found in sacred texts of Ayurveda. Originally used as tonic to promote energy and longevity, the health benefits of Ashwagandha have become much more widespread. This "Indian Ginseng" has been proven to lower cortisol (the stress hormone) levels in the body up to over 20% therefore combating fatigue, stress, anxiety, poor memory, concentration, and sleeplessness.
Best taken with food, add Ashwagandha to your smoothie, tea or warm nut milk. It can be taken up to 3 times a day, 1 tsp per dosage, working your way up to 1 tbsp depending on how you're feeling.
